In September I attended the “Carrières de Lumières” art show in Le Baux-de-Provence, France – just outside Saint Rémy-de-Provence, France. It was an art show of artwork of Monet, Renoir, Chagall, among others –projected onto the quarries’ huge walls, pillars and floor. The entire room engulfed and surround you with artwork. It was a very different way to experience art at such a LARGE scale.
The location was inside a cave of quarries…. The quarries were dug out over the years to extract the bauxite and limestone used to build the village of Les Baux as well as many of the limestone buildings in Paris.
